The Annual Brake for Breakfast event sponsored by The Power County Hospital District and The Hospital Cooperative is set for Wednesday, October 7 in several regional communities. Area hospitals and the Susan G. Komen Idaho-Montana Foundation in the area have joined forces to raise breast cancer awareness again this year. Locally in our area, the event will be held from 7:00-9:00 a.m. or while supplies last!:
- NEW LOCATION for 2020: Power County Hospital- enter the lower parking lot from Gifford Street to drive through.
- Rockland City Offices,
- Aberdeen Family Clinic, 50 South Main Street
This will be the 17th year that the Power County Hospital District has participated in the event. Brake for Breakfast is a “drive-through” event scheduled in the morning to catch women on their way to work or dropping kids off at school to participate easily. Each woman or man will receive a free breakfast, important breast cancer awareness information, and pink gift item! Organizer Jacklyn Taylor says, “The ultimate goal is to remind women to do monthly self-breast exams and to get a mammogram yearly after age 40. While there is no cure for breast cancer, survival rates are very high when diagnosed early.” For more information on Brake for Breakfast, please call Jacklyn at 226-3200 ext. 205
