April 7-13 is National Volunteer Week!
We want to give a BIG THANK-YOU to all those that volunteer at our facilities! The Pink Lady Auxiliary, Junior Volunteers, area church members that do services, our piano players, Foundation members, Volunteer Coordinator- Luis Perez, & all those that donate their time to help our patients & staff! Take the time this month to THANK those that volunteer their time in the community or help those in need!
We know everyone is busy these days, BUT everyone has some extra time to give! It doesn’t have to be everyday. Maybe you can donate your time 1 day a month to someone or somewhere; or maybe you like to help with a big fundraising event once a year– it’s up to you. But the time you give can have so many personal benefits including:
- Meet new people.
- Feel needed and valued.
- Learn or develop skills & teach to others.
- Enhance your résumé & gain work experience.
- Make important networking contacts.
- Build self-esteem and self-confidence.
- Improve your health.
- Express gratitude for help you may have received.
- Make a difference in someone’s life!
We hope everyone will consider volunteering your time to an organizations or a neighbor in need. And if you can get your kids involved in helping too, then it can be great for the entire family! If you are interested in volunteering at Power County Hospital District or with the Pink Ladies Auxiliary, please call 226-3200! We always appreciate those that can give of themselves– however much time that may be!
