Emergency Care Close to Home

Medical emergencies don't always happen during business hours. Whether you're experiencing a sudden illness, injury, or another urgent medical condition, our emergency team is ready to provide prompt evaluation and treatment.

As a Critical Access Hospital, we work closely with regional specialists and medical centers to ensure patients receive the level of care they need. When necessary, we coordinate rapid transfer to higher levels of care while continuing to provide stabilization and emergency treatment.

What to Expect

When you arrive, our emergency team will perform a medical screening examination and prioritize care based on the severity of each patient's condition.

Because we treat the most seriously ill and injured patients first, wait times may vary.

Emergency Stabilization & Specialty Care

As a Critical Access Hospital, Power County Hospital District is equipped to evaluate, stabilize, and treat medical emergencies close to home.

When patients require specialized or higher levels of care, our Emergency Department coordinates timely transfers to regional medical centers. Our on-site heliport supports rapid air medical transport when clinically appropriate, helping connect critically ill or injured patients with advanced specialty care as quickly as possible.
