Emergency Room

The Emergency Department of the Power County Hospital is open 24/7 to provide quick and convenient acute care assessment and treatment, referral, or stabilization and transfer for patients suffering from life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

Life-threatening emergencies can include:

• Chest pain or pressure
• Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
• Seizures
• Broken bones
• Upper abdominal pain or pressure
• Heavy or uncontrollable bleeding
• Coughing or vomiting blood
• Sudden or excessive pain
• Unconsciousness
• Changes in vision
• Suicidal thoughts

24-hour Emergency Services include:

• Coverage with emergency trained medical provider and nursing staff
• Applicable Laboratory testing, X-rays and CT scan services
• Critical transfer care if necessary

Our hospital also works closely with area emergency responders including the Power County EMS services, and area emergency air services as well as with our tertiary facilities Portneuf Medical Center and Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for continued care and treatment.
