Power County Hospital District is excited to welcome our newest provider to the area- Family Nurse Practitioner, LeeAnn Bolgen. She is now accepting new patients at the Power County Family Clinic and Aberdeen Family Clinic starting this month. She will also be doing some coverage at the Hospital Emergency Room to see patients. LeeAnn joins our current medical staff of providers that includes Dr. Garrett Seibold, Dr. Scott Conover, and Nurse Practitioner Kary Felt. Our longtime Nurse Practitioner Linda Cassell is also working with LeeAnn and will continue to be available to see patients, on a limited basis, in the coming year as she transitions to her retirement.
LeeAnn received her BSN, RN degree 17 years ago and has loved every moment of what she does helping her patients ever since. Her career includes many years caring for patients at Portneuf Medical Center on the medical/surgical, float pool, and intensive care floors that gave her a variety of skills. She also holds several advanced nursing certifications and licenses and supervisory experience.
Healthcare has been a very stressful industry the last couple of years, particularly in her caring for ICU and COVID patients. Because LeeAnn loves what she does and was inspired during this time to go back and take the steps to recently complete her Family Nurse Practitioner master’s degree. When asked why she loves working in healthcare, she replies “To put it simply I like to help people. It is the best feeling at the end of a day to feel like you made a difference in someone’s life. It is addicting. As a nurse I was able to get that feeling to a certain extent, but I was limited due to the knowledge and the role I held. As a nurse practitioner a lot of those limitations are now lifted, and I am excited to make an even bigger difference in the lives of my patients.”
LeeAnn has lived in the American Falls community with her family for many years. She and her husband Shane have been married nearly 20 years and have four active kids. They enjoy outdoor activities together and stay very busy cheering them on in their many sports and school activities.
Please join us in welcoming LeeAnn to the clinic and we know you will all enjoy meeting her more as she shares her knowledge, care, and enthusiasm with everyone. To schedule an appointment with LeeAnn, please call the Power County Family Clinic at 208-226-1057.
